Basketball Shooter Robot

Students' class project
Objectives:
Robot starts with one ping-pong ball from start area and passes through the labyrinth and
grey floors. After arriving at base camp, robot shoots the ball.
Rules:
1) The time for robots mission performance is 2 minutes. Time is measured at the point
that robot starts and judge blows a whistle for signal of starting.
2) Robot must start from start area. Any part of the robot is not allowed to exceed the start area before it starts.
3) Judge can terminate the match at his/her own discretion when Robot would be
obstructed at a wall of the labyrinth for over 30 seconds.
4) If robot runs off the course, only score which has obtained just before will be approved.
5) Score will be approved only when robot is completely in grey area.
6) Although robot doesnt pass through all grey areas (4 areas), it has a chance to shoot
if robot comes in base camp. (ex: If robot passes through 2 gray areas and then comes
in base camp, it will get 20 points and have a chance to shoot)
7) Only for robot which comes in base camp has a chance to shoot. If robot is completely
in base camp, contestants can touch robot to adjust direction for shooting.
8) Shooting points are given on the basis of the area where the body of robot is. Example:
If robot body is still in green area but robot arms extend to the hoop and shoot, it can
get 20 points. However, if robot arms touch the hoop for shooting, wherever the body
of robot is, it can get 5 points (shooting points for black area).
9) There will be no points if the ball is on the hoop. To get the points, the ball must be
completely in the hoop. (backboard can be used for shooting)
10) When robot shoots, it must be in the shooting area (black lines of right and left sides).
If it is out of shooting area and shoots, it cant get no points.
11) Robot has one chance to achieve the mission.
※ To get mission points, Robot must completely pass through all mission areas.
