Here's an ad for my guitar instructional DVD, Cool Legato Phrases Part 1. In this one hour DVD I cover ideas that I use to melodically navigate the neck. These ideas are based on sequencing short musical phrases using the legato technique. Additionally, I share with you some approaches for playing liquidy smooth, long arpeggio and pentatonic phrases. I also show you how I add right handed hammer-ons and pull-offs using the two fingers of my picking hand to extend these phrases.

You made a comment that was rude and inappropriate, and now you're trying to backpedal and call it a joke, so it's our fault we didn't "get it", but obviously you were just being a jerk; there is nothing to get besides that. We got that just fine.

@Sperzel I know it's an old comment, but still on page 1, so I'm going to reply: the music stands on it's own. Don't think about theory while you listen. Either it is good or not; the only question that matters ultimately. Derryl is great at what he does. He doesn't need your "concern" about how his "own music sounds". If you don't like this because it's "theory based", there is a simple solution; far easier than trying to get Derryl to change; don't listen.

@LifeForYoga: I am not absolutely sure that this is the guitar, but i do know that Darryl has a Carvin that was custom built to look like an Ibanez i think that this is it. Or it may be that only the neck is Carvin i can not remember exactly.

it looks like Derryl here is using scalloped fret Ibanez.What model is it,I have never seen that one.
