Original Jews in ancient times looked like Arabs like the Mizrahi Jews and Sephardi Jews. They weren't Nordic looking. Look up "real face of Jesus". Romans and other Mediterranean sea powers (Carthage and Greek city states) did not use prisoners. They used skilled enlisted sailors while Marines handled missile weapons (arrows and catapults) and boarding parties. They did recruit slaves in emergencies but freed them after the sea battle.

I found out about this movie yesterday and it happened to be on channel 5 yesterday, so I watched it because Joseph Morgan is in it and is in TVD. He is quite good looking.

@jegspillerpiano yeah that's true more old people should be like you lol :p but that's what is needed in movies for the younger audience to watch in this generation is about Christianity and forgiveness. so yes i agree with you it is a good thing they put the most important actions into the recreation of this movie :)

@SuperBebegun I must admit i'm one of those 'old people' (i'm 43)! I expected this to be shit, but it was actually very good. I'm imnpressed, and I agree without it brings this movie to a new audience. It doesn't have the same visual impact but it's very realistic and in all details and acting and characterization is excellent. Pleasantly surpised to see they did not whitewash the Christiannelements out of it, and even carried a strong message of forgiveness which the original lacked.
