Our eclectus likes a full-on hot blast, right from the shower head! It's crazy how birds' tastes vary. I tried doing the warm, gentle sprinkle with him when he was young, and he stepped onto my hand, ran up my arm, and threw open his wings, right at the shower head!

lol we just throw bill (our eclectus parrot) in a clean sink and turn the water on. his preference is for a single stream of medium pressure water lightly warmer than room temperature but not much more. and then he goes nuts.. when he is done he just sits still and looks like a drowned rat.

try holding him with you in the shower and letting a light currents of warm water go over him. He might be afraid of the noise, which was the case with my baby until she associated it with a nice warm bath with mommy.
But also, give your bird the option of whether or not it wants to bathe. Make sure you get with deep water cups for him in case he wants to bathe by himself he can dip his head into the cup. If he doesn't like the spray bottle then don't use it. It'll just traumatize him.

i have an si eclectus, and he absolutely hates water if it's in bath, shower, or spray bottle form lol.
do you know of any way to get my parrot to like water as much as your's seems to?
as soon as I start running the water my bird will start freaking out and trying to fly on my shoulder over and over. he calms down a little bit once he's wet, i can still tell he doesn't enjoy it.
