This might not be the longest or fastest zip line but it took 15 minutes to build and it was awesome. It starts from the roof of our tree house about 20 feet off ground and goes down over a brook for about 80 feet.I made it with 150' static rope, couple of carabiners and tendem pulley.I had about eight runs before i let my seven year old son try it. I hope you will enjoy it ,rate it and comment on it and give me ideas for future projects. Thanks for stopping by...BTW if you want to build your own zip line you should go to EASTERN MOUNTAIN SPORT or EMS.com and they have everything you will need and they will answer any questions and help choose the right stuff !!!

  • @MattChillen it's a petzl tandem pulley (about 50-60$ at ems.com)

  • awesome, but should the zip line be going TO the tree house

  • @MovieMakers100 yes if possible, but not always doable. In this case it was just for fun.The best thing is to have two - in and out !

  • @chexmixBMX101 you are absolutely 100% right. I would like to make a longer run that would be made from stainless steel cable. This run was temporary and just for fun.

  • loose weight 1 grunting 2 you went 2 miles per hour on the zipline

  • how about tying up the return rope (for pulling back wheelie) to a reel so you can just wind it up when not in use?

  • is it home made

  • @Zaldivarcrow usually i put a zope that messures the length of the cable on the wheelie and tie the very end of the zope to a branch so when i come back up i can pull it back up.
