Lego Mindstorms NXT Camera (using CMUcam3)

This video shows how to couple a video camera with the Lego Mindstorms NXT, enabling NXT-based robots to orient themselves in their environment, extract information from the environment, and react to it. The camera used is the CMUcam3, an open source programmable embedded color vision platform. The NXT and the CMUcam3 are coupled using a I2C-to-RS232 bridge that has been implemented using a PIC16F690.

Just a question:

Why don't you use the TTL RS232 output of the CMU CAM3?

could be easier than use the hi level and then convert them to fit to TTL ...

Hi, I completely agree that by using the TTL RS232 port of the CMUCam3 we could have avoided using the MAX232 level shifter. Since the hardware of the I2C-to-RS232 bridge was already in place, however, the chosen option including the level shifter was perfectly fine, as well.

i am looking for a wireless (mayb bluetooth or wifi) small camera that i could put onto an nxt model and have the image shown on my computer screen, any ideas anyone? Can this camera do that?
