@snipe1963 Not yet. I bought A9 in 2008. I have tried LSi25 before, depand on my hearing, A9 is better. Right amplifer must be chosen to fit for A9 and even i have used them for 3 years, they still need warm up more than 3 hours with 10W outputs with 200Wx2 amp before they perform fantastic sound. Enjoy!
I just bought these speakers and am matching them up to a fully rebuilt and "modified" Carver TFM-45 running off a Cambridge Audio preamp and Marantz SACD player. I hope they sound as good as they look. This really is a great video - great choice of music.
@lslhsys So I received the speakers yesterday and hooked them up to the amp. They really are beautiful speakers and they do sound quite good. I was hoping to replace a pair of 12" Tannoy studio monitors with these Polks, but I am sad to say that the Tannoys sound better. I am a little disappointed, but should have expected it.
@MarkovichCA HeHe! Yes, the bigger cone might bring out better sound, specially for the human voice sound. Tannoy is specialist for human voice sound with valve amp. The character of English speakers is to warm the music. Acturally the A9 is prefessional on the balance of the sound, best for home theatre use. A9 is good at playing classical music when output is more than 20W.But Anyway, i guess the Tannoy should be more expensive. Tell me the feeling after you test Tannoy.
Nice rig.
Have you checked out the LSiM's?
