Cantus singing Ave Maria in the Cornerstone Building in Peoria, IL during a rehearsal for the 2007 Illnois All State Honors Chorus (Part 2 of 2).. sorry for the little break, my camera decided to poop out for a few seconds
Both groups are amazing and totally different. The King's singers use male sopranos and their arrangements use a lot of straight tone. Cantus sings more standard TTBB arrangements and lets the singers open their voices and use vibrato. Completely different sounds equally glorious. I'm sure Chanticleer is also a favorite and displays elements of both groups.
While Cantus is most definitely astounding, check out the King's Singers. I got to see them live when they came to Columbus, OH last November. Let me tell you how good they are. I work for the Ohio State University Athletic Department and I work at the Football games. The KS concert was the same night as the Ohio State vs. Michigan game (I hope for your sake that you know how big that game is) ***THIS IS PART ONE OF MY POST**** the other is part two.
I'm so sad everytime I listen to this and miss the initial sancta maria.

Simply amazing! I sang this song with a men's chorus in high school but this is an unbelievably beautiful rendition. Thanks for posting!

Nice job. I've performed this piece several times with 2 different groups and it is extremely difficult but rewarding.
