@l0lercaust After the first audition when he sang The Ripper and Victim Of Changes he did The Ripper so good that Glenn said that he really was like Ripper and the name got stuck.

@l0lercaust When Halford left the band, the rest of Priest started to looking for another singer, then they saw Tim Owens singing "The Ripper" in a gig, and they get very surprised, because he was singing it perfectly, so they invited him to join in the band, and gave him the nickname "Tim Ripper"
