When pups are this age she is not in with them full time, she is teaching them by playing very nicely with her mouth and they learn not to bite hard that way. It is very important to let the mother teach them as she shows them to play nicely and they learn about bite inhibition from her and from each other. Puppies that don't have time (8 to 10 weeks) with their mother may have issues later. Dogs must learn to bite softly as people are much more delicate! Daisy is doing a great job of this.

Daisy was 3 1/2 in this video, the pups are now 18 months old and all are doing well- of the nine 6 families have x-rayed hips and elbows and all are clear- families can help keep breeds healthy by making sure to give breeders health data about their dogs- it is very important to understand that breeders can only get rid of health issues if we have the help of our puppy owners. To have healthy search and rescue, assistance dogs OR pets we have to watch the details and data.
