Tsunami in Phuket, Thailand

Camcorder footage of the 2004 tsunami disaster shot from the balcony of a motel. A short while later a much larger wave suddenly apears and can be seen breaking right in front of the beach and has such force that part of it proceeds right into the resort instantly filling it with water and doing a lot of damage.

my uncle was building a hotel there and it was 4 months from opening. they were due to be on phuket beach for an island visit. they were late because the nanny didn't prepare the kids. To this day he still is thankful for what happened. and so am i

I went to Thailand last year & I'm going again soon... they are the nicest people over there and the locals have the most amazing stories to share... Its so sad to know how many people died in such a short space of time on such a beautiful day...
