I think his arguments are excellent. The problem is that government (even the absence of government) is only as good as the human beings who run it. Removing government will work for a while, then human beings will screw it up over time. Then they will go back to having a government anyway.
There is no overcoming the frailties of the human condition.

@mmortal03 I guess you give him all the money you got with you and show him how he would be helped, even more if you would be free and thus more prospeous...

True, but state had no where needed purpose for it. Besides it was the people and its free voluntary exchange that made use of internet, without that it is worthless. Plus at the cost they consumed it was not worth it, give a trillion dollars to a bunch of monkeys enough times & eventually u might get the internet (at the cost of everyone else without their approval)

What if the person you are discussing this with is poor? They might say, "I can't afford to help the poor, because I, myself, am poor."

Look up anarcho-capitalism and a true free society will be revealed to you.

Well, property rights are inherent in the very concept of natural (that's non-aggressive) rights. If you assume a definition of rights where there is non-violence, then property rights are apparent. The purpose of the state is not to define those right's, but to enforce them. They are enforced withotu statism by personal enforcement. It'd be childish to assume that means violent defense at all times, as local voluntary property arbitration is far more likely.

Well, the govt didn't really "invent" the internet. A whole array of Universities and researchers created the physical network for communication reasons. DARPA only "invented" a protocol by which communication without prior knowledge of the layout of the physical network is possible. Even then, that was simply a military tool. It's the free market, and people's usage that has made the internet what it is today, and why you find it so useful. The Government hated it's use as a civilian tool.
