Creationists and Academic Freedom

Since the first ads of Expelled academic freedom, or the lack thereof, has been on every creationists mind. Creationists like to think they're being persecuted for their beliefs. They claim this persecution is the reason they haven't done any proper research into creationism. Accompanying the claims of persecution is the claim that we should teach both sides simply out of fairness.

This videos seeks to debunk the creationist ideas of academic freedom.

That's all you have to say? I make a video explaining exactly why all the injustices against Sternberg were either false or deserved and all you have to say is "is too!"? Doesn't make a very convincing arguement.

Richard Dawkins claims that anybody who doesn't believe in evolution "is ignorant, stupid, or insane."

And he is correct.

they aren't censored, they're rebutted. There's a difference.

That happens, and after ID refuses to accept it was demonstrably in error it has overstayed its welcome by all scientific standards

@atheistram There is no such thing as proof in the historical sciences. All we have is the observable evidence, and there is plenty of observable evidence that supports ID. In fact even Richard Dawkins admits that "Biology is the study of complicated things that give the appearance of having been designed for a purpose" He thinks its an illusion. I and many others do not. This is why so many atheist have jumped ship in the last few decades.. Anthony Flew is just one of many.

Evolution is a "theory" in the scientific sense of the term "theory"; it is an established scientific model that explains observations and makes predictions through mechanisms such as natural selection

When scientists say "evolution is a fact", they are using one of two meanings of the word "fact"...........

@gregrutz cont..... in allele frequencies or traits of a population over successive generations...By this definition I agree, however it says nothing of origin of the specifies, or the molecule to man paradigm which is not empirical. The Quarterly Review of Biology, December 2010, vol. 85, no. 4 just published Behe's latest study critiquing the the modern synthesis. Are you saying the Quarterly Review of Biology is not a science journal?
