The Belt Parkway runs along the south shores of Brooklyn and Queens, forming the main route for traffic bound for JFK Airport from the Verrazano Narrows Bridge and Manhattan. This scenic route is also one of NYC's most important highway links.

Highlights: Coney Island, Dyker Beach Park, Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Bay Ridge Promenade, END Belt Parkway; JCT I-278

  • Thanks, I drive this route a ton but always go straight through(Coming from NJ and going to L.Island) so I dont pay much attention to exits and where you can pull off. I wanted to go for a nice walk tomorrow along the promenade but had no clue as to which exit to park my car and stuff so this is much appreciated. Quick question, the verrazzano bridge lets me out on this eastbound but Im kinda enjoying the view a little more from before that. So do all these exits let me make quick u-turns? Thx!

  • @HeartBreakKid89 i would imagine that all the exits along this stretch have relatively easy u-turn access, but i wouldn't know b/c i've never had to get off along this stretch, except at the verrazano.

  • Have you ever gotten over the VNB from the Belt Parkway?

  • @tpir1972 yea, its a pretty cool drive too

  • That Was Such A Great Video!!!! :-) I Wish I Can Drive There All The Time, But I really don't like the Belt Pkwy cause of traffic. I really love the view though. I actully went into the city the other day on Monday from the Belt Pkwy & I saw the New 1WTC Freedom Tower Rising at 56 storys. I was on my way in from Long Island to do some filming at the WTC. Anyway, GREAT JOB!!! :-)

  • Thanks for posting! Great Job! I did this in February of 91 with a full size VHS camcorder mounted to a tripod! However I wish I had news 88 playing as you did! Great move there! I used to make frequent trips in the 90s,I went all the way to the Southern State. and this brought back memories! And its $11 bucks now for the verrizanno? Wow!

  • So cool, thanks for uploading

  • Great Work ... I ride there very often
