This was a really soulful jam that I had with my 2 really good friends. It was a while since I jammed with my friend Gomez and it seemed as if time never passed. Please watch part 1 first.
A side note, I'm off in the corner. I couldn't move my amp out far enough to get in the shot, but you get the idea.

  • its not the hand strength that i need, i just think it would flow better if the bends were looser

  • Well, flowing comes mainly from practice. It doesn't matter what gauge strings you have if you want to flow. You just gotta be comfortable with what you're doing and your style. But try playing a half-step down and see how you like it. It worked for Stevie Ray :)

  • yeah, i think i need some 9's maybe though, cuz i feel like i am working to much for over one step bends. I think i could play more flowingly and naturally with easier bends and good non-bend vibratos.

  • Well my advice to you is to practice to get your hand strength. You could also tune down a half step or whole step if your really want easier bends with 10 gauge strings. But string gagues are all a personal thing about feel. I would try out a pack of 09's and a pack of 11's just so you have something to test out

  • yeah, thats good advice> unfortunately i don't get a chance to go to music stores often, but now that i have my license maybe i will. i feel like the perfect guitar for me would be an older strat with chipped paint and a sort of time dulled color. The guitar i dream about lol. What guage are you're strings? I have been playing 10's but i think im gonna move down.

  • I play Ghs Boomers 10 gauge. It works for me honestly its all about what feel you want. You just gotta do what you gotta do.

  • you don't choose the guitar....it chooses you.......

    well said!

  • Thanks for the comment. I only have 3 guitars: my Squire dubbed "Jimi", The 2007 American Deluxe, and my Seagull Class M acoustic guitar. You really can't go wrong with a strat, but my advice is to go into a store and look because you don't choose the guitar, it chooses you. My srat that I'm playing in this video chose me and its helped me through some hard times. Take a gander and wait for that guitar to find you.

  • oh yeah and i forgot to ask you if you got any new guitars, and if so what are they? I am thinking about getting an american strat, I would love an older one, but the prices for those are sky high so i'll be seeing what i can do.

  • Yo Debruan, this is great! good to see a new "revenue" in your videos.
