redbear mke 120

This is a video tribute to my Redbear MKE 120. Basically instead of power tubes it houses grizzly bear testicles and converts the semen into raw, creamy guitar tone.

Hey nice amp I have a chance of getting a MK120 is there a difference? Also, whats the difference between pentode and triode?

@rssnowblind0 hey thanks :-) i know the MK'E' designation means it has an effects loop, but other than that they are identical so i'm told. but seriously, only certain pedals sound nice through and effects loop and you have to lug around extra 1/4" cables to use it.

pentode mode is the normal operation mode of a vacuum tube, whereas triode mode shuts off certain elements within the tube. in terms of sound, you get a spongier feel comparable that of a rectifier ;-)

@metagaugezero Thanks for the detailed response. I will hopefully be getting a MK120 soon then. :) I think I'm going to mod it down to 60 watts as well though as I dont need 120 and I don't think I ever will haha. Btw how does this sound at low volumes?

@rssnowblind0 yeah, 60watts is perfect. you'll get nice power tube breakup before going def. my master volume never gets turned passed 3, even though it goes to 11 (hah)

funny you should ask about how it sounds at lower volumes. apparently novik specifically designed the bass pot of this amp in such a way where you could dial up the bass at lower volumes to simulate 'loudness'. it's wierd but you'll see what i mean...

The only thing this demo is missing is some better camera mike because at some point it sounds like you have a tremolo pedal. There`s somebody in my city that has one, I`m gonna try it. I think about getting one.

This amps just have one sound, great sound! I love this guys, I really do! They just have tone.
