@DivinelyMochaDipped one only needs to read the 14th amendment of the constitution. no state shall have authority to pass laws that abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens. this seems pretty clear to me. jim crow laws were unconstitutional. bans on gay marriage are unconstitutional. there you go. also, have respect for people that have different viewpoints than you.

Another brilliant display of ingenuity. Thank you, Dr. Paul.
I'm gay and I endorse this message.

@DivinelyMochaDipped But don't you see how much more efficient such a method would be? Slavery ended a long time before in the northern states than it did in the southern ones. As much as I would like to see gay marriage legalized across the country, we would'nt be able to ratify such a proposal until most states would agree to it, which today is unfortunately not the case.
For now, let the progressive states legalize gay marriage at the state level. Eventually it will be nationwide.

u could have used that same argument for jim crow. -_-

exactly. -_____-
is his cult that damn brain dead? the whole reason civil rights issues are EVER taken to the federal level is because the states sanction racist/homophobic policies in the first place.
-
ron paul supporters might just be the most annoying cunts on the planet right now. completely fucking retarded drones.
-
Lol, because civil rights movements are always strongest at the state level. Right

Even Liberals are starting to realize Ron Paul's message strengthens their fight for Civil Liberties maybe even more than their own party line, or voting record. Is it possible that one candidate might be able to reunite both parties by returning to the US Constitution as a platform basis?
