Our new BFAR Director is an environmental lawyer. Perhaps he will not delay helping the last remaining reef of Siaton. All our documented reports, including meetings in the Siit Barangay have been left unattended. Gov. Degamo, please check on how you can urgently support our fishery. If Negros Oriental leads with Marine Protected Areas, we hope you as our leader can make our province lead in enforcing environmental laws as well.
The Philippine BFAR Director now is an award winning environmental lawyer, Atty Asis Perez. He could be the urgent solution to the abuses on the marine environment of Siit, Siaton. The local government is currently not ready to protect the main source of livelihood for the local community, and we hope this lawyer can see the urgency of taking corrective measures of the exploitation.
