  • One thing this movie failed to tell us, is how much money it cost to do all this.

    I bet it isn't cheap.

  • OK, the idea is all well and good, but what did it cost in total for Les to get this set up? Solar systems are not inexpensive, he brought in alot of fancy equipment, he even had a helicopter deliver 12 loads to the site. So, while Les keeps harping on the fact that he won't have a "hydro bill" any longer, just what other bills does he have to pay off for the construction, solar panels, etc.?

  • What a great series! I was concerned at the part where the had the wood stove going and that blue polyurethane sprayed in insulation exposed. Isn't that not only very flammable, but extremely toxic when burned?

  • EXCELLENT! WELL DONE LES.

  • aahhhh. :D this is what I want to do in my lifetime. :]

  • I wonder if the kids went with the wife after they got divorced?

  • AburKadabur, I'm pretty sure that the house is lit up to demonstrate that he's got all the power he needs. He's not being wasteful -- the sun and wind will recharge the batteries. With everything he's been through building this place, I'm pretty sure he has very few bad habits, environmentally speaking.

  • @fire4ashz i dont know who wrote that lol sorry man iv never even watched this video before lol

  • @111Buckethead

funny how we all have self-imposed limits. I would like to stay out of that mindset. You're assuming this guy has money, he did say that he couldn't afford to drill through the bedrock for water $10,000, that says to me he's no millionaire. He did have a wife that supported him, so it's not impossible, except maybe for you.
