This is part 1. For part 2 see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCPNW5QNWmU

I'm back...and this time I've brought a friend. Because of that I had to post to blip TV rather than YouTube... apparently they didn't like the length of the video.

Mark and I have been collecting comics at the same store for about 8 years now and I asked him to join me for this weeks review cause we have different tastes (slightly) and I always enjoy talking comics with other fans.

So let's get started.

Graphic Novels:

Mark chose a series called Long Bow Hunter. It's a Green Arrow story arc, and may be difficult to find but well worth the read he says. It take the character out of the gimmicky realm and puts him back in more of a realistic context. The art is nice and the story is fantastic (but slightly violent so be a little warned.)

For myself I recommend No Mans Land, and Road to No Mans Land. (Obviously Road comes first but I see it all as one big story) Gotham City gets nearly destroyed because of a giant earthquake causing the American Government to cut off Gotham from the US. They mine the waters, blow up the bridges and leave those people crazy enough to stay behind on their own. Batman decides to take back the city, but the criminals are all out of Arkham and the GCPD are now a gang to themselves. It's a great story filled with almost every character in the Batman universe and I really feel if you love batman, or just a good story you have to read this series.

New releases:

Action Comics 858 -- The start of a new era in Superman, and it couldn't have come at a better time. Just when I thought that I was going to drop the book
Geoff Jones comes in and starts something that so strange and cool I'm
drawn back in. Bringing in the Legion of Superheroes a dark and dismal
future and Superman stuck in the distant future is always a great story
in my opinion. Well worth picking up and reading.

Mark wanted to talk about Aquaman which had re-launched just a year and a half ago and is now finished. I warn you now SPOILERS are involved in our discussion of the tragic end to a cool comic book.

Also Mark weights in on the Sinestro Corps war, being a huge GL fan this particular story is something he is watching closely. Overall the story the battles he is liking but he does have a few complaints.

Finally we talk about JSA 10 which is an incredible book, this sort of sequel though maybe not, story to Kingdom Come is starting off with a hell of a bang. The only problem is either they are changing the story of Kingdom Come or they are going to fix it when they eventually send this guys back. Either way it's a great ride stay
tuned for more amazing art and wonderful storytelling.

That's it for this week. As always, faithful viewers, keep reading.
