@TheAir59 With a TV from 1993-1997 I would expect it to stop working. However a television set from the early 1980's or older would continue to work much better for decades. This TV here is older and is a Zenith; two qualities which make it still operational. These TVs are relatively easy to repair, and are worth doing so.

I noticed when you turned to CBS that the CBS logo and rating were cut off. Why doesn't it fit the screen?

@N64Guy well none of that new stuff existed when these were made obviously, though the post 1985 sony trinitron tv sets have a composite in with good enough quality

wtf its like fucking 2010 i mean iv got a vintege stereo its a fisher and it has big ass speakers love it but the amp has lots of probs but it works ok look old sound systems r cool old tv is not cool cus at least my stereo is compatible with the thing now a days imean its no hdmi or optical but it has left and right rca conecters so i can hook all my crap to it

Did you encounter any problems at Daily Usage,for a TV from 1979 it should be burn out by now.My TV is From 1993 -1997 i don't know the exact date but it already as it share of problems especialy with one of the tubes it starting to wiggle the picture sometimes but stops ounce it heats up.

If its because the DTV converter uses coax cable and the TV is only equipped with those two screws where the antenna would hook up, then yes, you just need to get a $3 converter from an electronics store. I can't rmemeber what those are called but if you explain it someone will know...

its not safe to leave the tv on all the time, I wouldn't do it.
Set up enough transmitters and people might just cancel the cable or satellite. Save that money for gasoline and food.
