high taxes on cigarettes at least in my country are absolutely understandable because smokers are so expensive for the health system so the state just loses money anyway no matter how high they are. (because a single lung cancer patient costs so much and is paid by the state) I don't know how it is in the US . I´ve just heard the the americans have a pretty shitty health system anyway so i can't tell. But i think smoking should be forbidden anyway :P
