To beat the summer heat, we took Nina to the river to see what we could find.

  • When the news in the world is just too grim, watching Nina explore the beauty around her lifts my spirits. Thank you Nina Nd Geof.

  • @hevern Yeah, the news can be pretty grim, alright. Hanging with Nina is definitely our choice of escapism.

  • nina is so cool! she dare to catch the frog with her bare hand. i think i should go to her daycare to be as brave as her hahaha....

  • @exodus87 I think a lot of kids are brave like that when they are Nina's age, but then they become fearful later.

  • wow... ure such an amazing father! exposing nina to nature and various cree[py crawlies and even frogs! i admire you and ur wife's teaching methods! what an awesome way to learn! nina is very privileged!! and has such a fulfilling childhood!! too bad my fear for these creatures is already second nature to me! kudos to you and ur wife on ur beautiful girl :)

  • @redbluetangerine I had to train myself to get used to handling various creatures for Nina's sake, so it's never too late!

  • @missmuffey Also, we are older parents. I was already 39 when Nina was born. So, we had both worked for a number of years and were already somewhat financially stable by the time Nina joined us, which makes it easier to get by now on just my salary.

  • @missmuffey Thanks so much! We did try to both work full-time for a couple years, but it was too much, and not worth making Nina go to daycare for 11 hours a day, and always feeling exhausted. Now, my wife has quit her job and Nina is in daycare 6 hours a day, and we are more rested and fully enjoying our time with Nina. Plus, I get good vacation time so, yes, we are making time with Nina a priority. My wife may go back to work part-time when Nina is in elementary school. Good luck!

  • @Marii07261 I can't remember the name, but it's one of the music samples that comes with the iMovie software. Do you have a Mac?
