All the greats are good at their genre. Neil Peart is amazing at rock. Barker's great at punk. Carter's great at Jam. He's the most versatile drummer I know off. Others may be better than him in specific areas, but Carter's the greatest all around. He's even the greatest in some specific areas. He's inventive and plays well with the ensemble. He's definitely up there with Buddy Rich and Dennis Chambers.

man are you kidding me. Neail Pert, Travis Barker and Joey Jordison arnt worthy to scratch caters balls. SUre they are good drumers at their genre, but all they can do is keep a beat. Watch a solo from Joey Jordison (guy from slipnot).all he can do is keep a beat and play random shit.worst and most boring drum solo i have evr seen. ANd believe it or not i used to be a metal head.

The great thing about carter is not only does he have that huge set, but he plays every thing on it. he is definatley my favorite drummer to listen to and watch
