@shuriken86 Kyokushin Karateka are trained to punch to the head but forbid it in competition for obvious reasons. Osu.

I train in Kyokushin Karate. If you've incapacitated someone or been incapacitated in the leg before (both for me); believe me anyone will be out of the fight. The techniques are perfectly fine for self defense and for fighting in the real world (not in a cage w/ rules). However, we are taught self control, honor, etc. (learn it yourself) so we don't do all that inhumane, unnecessary stuff.

@dannyryu yea i agreee

Karateka don't strike to the face because they aren't stupid and don't want to be disfigured as a result of ignorant pride. It is also a courtesy to your opponent. However - it doesn't take much for the typical yakasuke counter-attack to be aimed at the head instead of the solarplexis and cause a lot of damage.
