www.adammisiak.art.pl Postuldium na wiolonczelę i fortepian Walentina Silwestrowa - wykonane przeze mnie i Domitille Bes (gros bisous!) 22 czerwca 2005 na recitalu w CNR w Rennes. To mój pierwszy filmik na YouTube i dedykuję go mojej Malwince;))
Sylvestrov is far too humble and much of his work and achievements is not accredited properly! But that's what makes him a great musician rather than a mere media star.
Certainly, this is the music used in the climactic scene of the very great film, "Le Temps qui Reste." Played well, but the performance on the film soundtrack is more stunning and moving. but this is beautiful too. Thanks for posting.
@Pacabelle No, it wasn't used as and end credit, but in the final climactic scene of the film, when the lead character is dying on the beach. It was the perfect choice for this scene and is what started my search. i just thought it was written for the film by the film scorer. and the credits weren't much of a help either. glad i found it.
I first heard this music in the French Art House film called "Time to leave" directed by Francois Ozon. The music was used as an end credit. Very moving. Silvestrov apparently writes it as his "symphonic poem".
I want to play this, bought the score. It's published by Belaieff ( a branch of Schott) in Frankfurt.

Ah.... that takes my breath away. Such a gentle unfolding of the melodic phrases... truly a poem. Thank you for this post.
