Funny thing... one of the comments says the piece sounds like a factory. Apparently, the pianist Joseph Lhevine (sp?) thought something similar, he nicknamed the piece "Oriental Express"

@Starbirdy9999 Yes Agreed, perhaps a background scene to compliment the music, but this is far to powerful to be set in a background.
Performance is wonderful, and I guess Rach liked it a lot cause he didn't record much.

@Gargantupimp This does sound like factory; it would be a great piece for background music to that scene described. But it's just too great to be background music.

@pcmendes1973 Actually, I've done some research on Wikipedia now, and it says that the name was given to the place of the publisher, and it says it wasn't meant to sketch or depict anything oriental.
