I need to get my hands on the soundtrack to this movie. It's freakin' awesome!

@TheBc99 In my opinion, they couldn't exist because nobody alive knows how were those days exactly, and not all texts from that time are accurate, there were many fake facts about royalty. I think Sofia wanted the movie to be full of symbols that would let you imagine how MA could be feeling (like the Converse sneakers in a scene, the music and stuff) and did not meant to make an accurate historical movie, documentary-like.

Its a movie ppl!!!!!!! its a real story but the music doesnt matter

@Batcat1313 then why the hell were u watching it?
-
how do they eat so much junk food and not get fat or ill?

This is utterly ridiculous at this point. They relied far too heavily on modern music to set the mood of scenes and thus destroyed the illusion of the period this movie was supposed to be set in. Whoever had the final say on the soundtrack for the film is responsible for potentially killing any charm this piece may have had.

Bongo and Cowpwnz are in fact right, the 1780s France and the 1980s America were both experiencing a recession/depression, with massive inflation. The 80s music is displaying the parallels in the excess and nievity of the rich in both decades, who lived near care free lives while the poor suffered. If the movie were to be made this year music from 2008-2011 could also be used to show that parallel.
