  • this game is to cool !

Ive played it before the Snes meeting began here in germany.

The first round i cant believe there comes a fuckn big jump. Bigger than in all stages off the first F-Zero snes game before.

I wanna play it again - its so nice !

Like I said, American market jumped all over that when Sega did it. Japan isn't always a good projection as to how good something will do in the West. Of course, they can choose not to take risks, but then they won't grow as a company; And we're left with consoles like Wii which have a stale lineup. They've certainly lost me as a customer, after pulling such moves as leaving Xenoblade in Europe and Japan. Can't well support a company that can't take risks. Just doesn't promote growth

  • @AltairEgo1 I'm not saying some people wouldn't have LIKED it, but that's not good enough. They have to like it in large enough numbers that they shell out way more money than it takes to build the infrastructure and run the service, etc. XBand was cool too (Online play for SNES games) but it was not popular enough to sustain, and it went under. I'm just saying "some people think it's cool" is far off from the economic realities of making it happen....

The American market jumped all over extra content like that when Sega was doing it. They may be a corporation, but they don't know everything. Supreme court after all, deems them "persons"; And last I checked people are prone to mistakes, including companies.

Sin and Punishment exclusion was probably one of their biggest ones. Good to see they've wised up in that respect.

  • @AltairEgo1 I imagine it's a bit more complicated than that :) Maybe the American market wouldn't have supported a satellite download system, or they simply weren't able to negotiate a deal with the company to bring it to other markets.

There are lots of factors. For example, remember how Pokemon Crystal had online play over cellphones, but only in Japan? Well, cellphones were far more widespread among Japanese teenagers than Americans at the time, so....

  • Only for Japan? Chrrrrrist, Nintendo treats them so much better than the western market.

  • looks cool^^

  • i own that game as well.
