Caterham race panic - One-handed driving in wet race

You are on the grid just before the start of a race when you realise that your helmet isn't fastened. You get it done up, but have to take your gloves off to do it. The race starts, you get a storming start, but you still have your gloves off. In theory you could get black flagged for this so have to decide what to do.... Funny how the mind works when you are forced into making decisions when your senses are already overloaded ...

I've seen some really odd judgements in the past. Saw someone demoted from pole to the back of the grid because they thought his video camera hadn't been registered (it had). So I didn't want to risk it. My left hand was under the dashboard for most of the race.....

I guess I'm just in the routine of fastening my strap as soon as I put on my lid. Nice bikes btw, v. cool selection, not ur usual Jap I4 or Harlies there (not that theres anything wrong w/ that of course)!
Watching the vid again, not sure why he thought he could fasten lid strap w/ his right glove on, nor why he needed to remove left glove, but perhaps the car lid O-ring is diff from bike lid's O-ring?

Very good driving with one hand lol. Also where did you get your wing mirrors from? I cant find them anywhere
