D1015 The White Rose returns to KX

D1015 hauling the Western White Rose from York arrives into Kings Cross at 22.15 If you were there you may well be in this clip. We tried to show many interesting faces in the crowd from DTG personnel to faces from the 70s and 80s , even a train enthusiast rock guitarist Captain Sensible (The Dammed) who has a class 47 named after him! see 2.51-3.59 seconds and 7.11 clicking away (not strumming!) were either on the train or travelled to see Western Champion arrive. On one side the locomotive was wearing the identity of D1072 Western Glory now long scrapped but the nameplate and cast numberplate lives on and a shedload of money would be required to buy them. Enjoy the clip, it is for all of us who the Western meant something of class and now vintage like Chateu La Fete 69! Taste the clag this Christmas. Raise a glass to the DTG and D1015 for 2010.

lovely stuff ,,i got the same footage in the same location ,,that dont matter its a fine loco ,,and thanks to the DTG for keeping the 1000 going ,,they are amazing and nothing has yet been made that will come any where near these engines ! 5 stars and a fav
