This is a whirlpool in the Passamaquoddy Bay between Deer Island, New Brunswick, Canada and Easport, Maine, USA. The footage is from July 2002. Sorry, I know that the camera work is not the best, but it was all that I had when I uploaded this. I recently uploaded another view of OId Sow that is longer and much clearer (see video response). Turns out that I was better with the camera on a tripod on land than my dad was in our car on the ferry when it was raining. It didn't form a funnel either time though, unfortunately.
lol is this really a video of a whirlpool or did someone just hold a grey piece of paper front of the camera and wave it around

@natetheingrate I don't know, I thought that 1994 cameras with shaky cameramen produced the best videos. (Since it's hard to tell from text, that is sarcasm.)
The video response is on a tripod and I am the cameraman, hence it is better. A large reason why I posted this in the first place was to encourage people who live near Old Sow to film it when it forms a funnel vortex.

@clinehar
Thanks. I was hoping to inspire someone who lives near it.
