I will start posting new stuff again every Sunday Night right after this video--and maybe a day in between--anybody out there know what a good weekday is to post????

I GUESS YOU HAD TO BE THERE
It's an impressionistic evening;
we are walking into
Van Gogh's Starry Night
and we can do no wrong.

She throws herself
against expensive cars
setting off alarms almost as loud
as her childlike giggling;
he's holding a Miller Genuine Draft Light
and standing in the middle of the road
daring oncoming trucks to play chicken;
and the other one,
the really crazy one,
thinks if we all join hands
in a circle
the spirit of Keith Moon
can be summoned
to bless our recklessness.

There is no perspective
- only broad strokes of insane colors painted over our better judgment.
There is no meaning
- just stream of consciousness revelations which are lost on the sober faithless we have awakened.

This is a last dance
of pure emotion;

this is careless innocence;

this is what we will grow out of;

this is what we will warn our children to avoid;

this is what will bring a final guilty smile
to our tired faces
in our old age.

  • I have come back to this several times. I love it. Perfect fit.

  • @salmonme241 Thanks for coming back. Mary really made this thing come alive.

  • Cool video, I don't know how you were able to do all those vidsual effects, that is unique. I don't know how you can remember that entire poem from memory, impressive.

  • WiseFlow: Mary did all the editing. The only time you'll see editing in my uploads is if it is a collab with someone smarter with computers than me :P -- I'm obsessed with doing everything from memory--anytime you see me on video or a live reading it is memory--the few times I tried putting "cheat notes" up I had to take them down--it felt like cheating. :P Thanks for the comment. ;)

  • this is a very funky and most excellent groooovvy chill movie for such ol farts!

  • floydstinkyboy: Who are calling old farts??? Why I oughta.... wait... WHO is this again... why in my day we would have... *hang on nurse I'll be there in a God Damn second!* -- where I was I? Who was I talking to? :P

  • This is still for me the most sublime vid/collab here. I never tire of hearing/seeing it. This is the vid I recommend to everyone

  • PERFECT SONG...PERFECT POEM

  • Could easily be the soundtrack to the end of the world...

    Really well-done. I love the dancing Keith Moon bit, the spinning lights, and the poem is wonderful.

    "This is what we will warn our children about..."

  • Yep, I think I've been there...countless times. Closing-times

    Beer-soaked Desperados spilling out.

    Some starting up their sky-driven motorcycle rides,

    Others falling trying, then falling laughing.

    Cars stopping...or swerving, to avoid the uncaring.

    ..spilling out into the night ..we were immortal and righteous,

    Bikers.. Angels..all of us...

    Lawless.

  • this was awesome! i loved it!

  • Wow!! A beautiful mix.
