for HP fans, how to add a deathly hallows symbol to a tshirt using acrylic paint

FAQs:
1. Where did you buy the shirt?
American Eagle Outfitters. It was on clearance for $6. I recommend buying something cheap so if you mess up or don't like how it turned out, it won't be a huge loss.
2. Can you use fabric paint?
Yes you can, but I didn't use it for two reasons. First, acrylic paint is much cheaper and I was planning to use the shirt only twice (for the premiere of DH part 1&2), so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. Second, fabric paint is stiff when it dries and and gets crackly or whatever when washed (with cold water). I don't have that problem with acrylic.
3. Can I wash it with other clothes?
Wash it alone once (by hand is fine), to get out any residual paint that hasn't clung to the fabric. Then you can wash it with other clothes.
4. Will it come off in the wash?
It will fade a bit, but I kind of like it like that because it seems less like you painted it on and more like you bought the shirt. So many people have asked where I bought the shirt and I have to explain that I made it myself. They never believe me haha.

Note: in the vid I say that the paint might color a white shirt when you wash it, but my BFF did a white shirt and it was fine, so I take that back.

  • Gonna do this using my fabric ink :')

  • it's better of you use fabric paint. It's a permanent paint that stays in the clothes + it doesn't fade away in the wash. Hope it helps. :)

  • I will definitely be making this very soon :-)

  • Great video, I'll definitely be making this!

  • @weshipdhr thanks- it's an awesome shirt, i made it

  • @MissSquishy100 if it's a permanent marker, it shouldn't come off. period. that's the point, right?

  • @Ne4c once should be good
