in the year after this , crafar was in the 500cc and straight away doin well , in doohans last year he was up there with doohan crivile and such .good times !

You can't deny the talent of JK, but if you didn't dislike him already, this was the final straw. Last race of the season was it not? Crafar off to 500GP and as @ChiliFan06 says, it was Simon's last/only chance for that illusive WSB win (were it not for ridind a Kawasaki, Crafar should have been into double figures?).
JK already had the championship sewn up, but wanted to win 10 races I think?
Crafar's 500 GP race win went some way to making up for not getting one in WSB - It was a golden era.

Kocinski was bang out of order, he had the speed and he was behind Crafar when he hit him. was no need to knock Crafar off. he could have taken the lead at anypoint after that. I believe Crafar was badly injured also.

Unfortunate in two ways.... bad move on Kocinski's part, and I would have loved to see Crafar win that race. Simon had a hidden talent that kept being pushed in the corner and was always very competitive.
