If you buy this Dynam Meteor Jet from Nitroplanes, you better watch this video first. Many years of experience tells me that this plane needs more quality control and better gluing processes at the factory. Make sure to check every single thing that could fail in flight. If you do exactly what I did to fix the unglued stuff and balance this jet like I did, you will have success for hundreds of dollars less.
An experienced modeler would not ever worry about this kind of stuff and would simply fix it as he went, just like I did. We are used to that. But for a Novice, it is advisable to have your hobby shop or someone with experience check out your plane before you fly it. No need to risk a mishap, you know.
That said, with the balance fixed and more elevator control, this jet becomes a very sweet flying plane with no bad tendencies at all. I enjoy flying it.

What I don't enjoy is figuring out stuff that I shouldnt have to.

When Carl Goldberg or Joe Bridi said to "do it this way", we did and it would always work.
I hate the guessing games these days to make things fly.

So I hope this takes some guessing out of the equation for you.

Happy flying and thanks so kindly for watching, subscribing, and watching my other videos.

Got some helicopter stuff coming, so stay tuned.
Best Regards,

  • 10:50 sounds like feeding time at a pig pen

  • I almost bought the Meteor last week end, a friend got the Habu which I wanted for over a year when I seen it at the Toledo Show. I seen the Meteor and it was only $99.99 with 30 dollars shipping. Still priced under the Habu. Dave, Will the Meteor come in as slow as the Habu?

  • Hi Dave,

Are there any Harrier type model planes that mimic it's movements available anywhere? I just thought it would be pretty cool to have one of those.

  • I know it's probly been said but i'm still going to say it,this is an exact COPY of the Parkzone Habu which i got after it dropped by £100 so i got the PZ Habu BNF for £150 ;-) oh and i trust the PZ planes as i've been flying there planes for three years now and only ever had one big problem with there P-51 gun fighter which crashed but they replaced the whole plane and gave me an extra battery ;-) so i tend to stick to PZ/HH now, never had any of these problems with the PZ Habu ;-)

  • Great video Dave as always. Thanks for the honest review of the build. You should always go over the plane with a fine comb before the 1ST flight but for them to label it as Receiver ready? That's unacceptable with all that work. I understand it's cheap but that's because they have no quality control.

  • snow in the summer?!

  • As always...just GOOD info!!! Thanks Dave!!!!! You're an RC god!

  • yall have snow already? i live in southern iowa and havent seen none yet

  • @spazman13579 but im allready an experienced flyer, ive had a giant glider, and a cessna 182, i was just looking for a good first jet plane.
