I have been on pointe for about 2 weeks now, and I finally got my ribbons and elastics sewn on. I broke in my shoes more, too, since my last video. All comments and suggestions are appreciated! Please comment and let me know what I'm doing well or what I can improve on!

  • you're verrry good for this only being your second weeek.

the only advice i could give to you is to try to get over your boxes.

  • Hey ... it is good to see that you are wanting advice.

I would just say that you need to push more onto your bigger toe - so all toes are evenly on the floor.

Also push further forward onto the block/platform.

Also you need to use a bigger plie, I can see as you come down from your releves that you are not using any plie - so work on that.

Lastly you need to pull your knees up, at the moment you are trying to get on point with bent knees which could actually give you an injury.

  • you really shouldnt tie your pointe shoes like that, you need to have the ribbons in one spot not tied all the way up your ankle for better support.

  • don't be afraid to push over onto your box a bit more! also, hold your turnout.

other than that, you have great talent!

    good job, and good luck:)

  • i'm a male dance so i dont know much about pointe the onli thing i would say is keep trying to use your turout because it was geting a little dodgey at some points, but thats something all dancers can work on i suppose, and maybe you should ask ure teacher what you could improve on, after all you don't realli know whos giving the right advice on the internet. x

  • gaynors arent the best for beginners. they're more for professionals. cuz they dont help your feet to get stronger

  • Your Pointe Shoes Need To Break In A Little More. I've Been Doing Pointe For A While, And I Think You HAve Some Good Talent, keep Up the Good Work.

  • i think you should try gaynor minden shoes there very good for beginners on pointe..
