My daughter was born just last February 5. She was born at 28 weeks and 5 days and weighed 2 pounds 12 ounces (which was pretty big for her gestation). She had a heart murmur, had to go through two transfusions due to severe anemia, and she had apnea. When she was born, she was not breathing on her own, and we almost lost her the night she was born. Now she is home and doing great. Thank you MOD.

Nicely done.
My son was born 8 weeks early/ 16 weeks IUGR. He had Heart Murmur and bilaterial surgery at 4 months old.
He was 1 lb. 12.4 oz at birth and is now a normal (in fact BIG for his age) 5 year old.
I know we are one of the lucky ones, that's for sure. It could have easily gone the other way.

My son was born last June at 25 weeks, 2lb 1oz, 15 in. He suffered through PDA and bilateral inguinal hernia surgeries, severe lung deisese, grade III hemmorages, and he was in the NICU for 114 days. I just created a video for him and March of Dimes as well. Yours is beautiful, and very informative. Congrats on your beautiful children, and thanks from our family for your support of MOD.
