Thomas Franks book, "What's the Matter with Kansas" presciently describes how it's done. While he wrote it several years prior to the rise of the Tea Party movement, the current marketing efforts aren't all that different from other recent Republican marketing efforts to turn out the vote, e.g., getting social conservatives out to vote against gay people in 2004 in order to help Bush get reelected.

What an incredibly deceptive trailer. I stand with the Constitution, which requires me to oppose the tyranny of the Tea Partiers who only rhetorically support it, e.g., their opposition to the 14th Amendment's clear and unambiguous language regarding equal liberty rights. In addition the Tea Party movement has disproportionately less black Americans than the general population for a handful of reasons - one being because many of them leverage the Tea Party to promote bigotry and racism.

I appreciate the passion of the so called Tea Party people.
It's just that you got alot of it wrong and are voting against your own best interests.
In the last ten years US companies outsourceed 2.3 MILLION jobs to other countries.
