hank snow considered it an extreme honor to record with the great chset atkins.hank was aloof but he wasnt a conceited twit like most superstars,give hank his just dues he was a very good guitar player.chet was truly the greatest guitarist ever.

Austrian marches travel well.
Despite the debate, Chet Atkins thought Hank Snow was pretty good. So even if he wasn't as good as Chet Atkins, he still gets some pretty good endorsements.
I wish there was a video. This must have been something to see in person.

@daffydoug Yes sir, that is correct. I play fingerstyle guitar and have studied Chet's technique since the beginning, there's nothing easy about it at all.. everything is inside a chord. Hank Snow's guitar playing wasn't very impressive at all from a technical point of view, and it just kind of annoyed me that people on here were going on about how 'good' he is and basically just dismissing Chet.

I like how all the comments are like "WOW Hank! Oh and Chet was alright too I guess". Chet was one of the greatest guitar players of our time, what he's doing on this particular tune is about 20x more complex than Snow's ragged primitive technique.

@bigdjindustriez True, and Chet made it so smooth that if one does not know much about guitar, they would think it was easy. But that is an illusion, because Chet made it only SOUND that way.

I'm always amazed at Hank Snow's talent,his guitar pickin and unique voice.Chet of course is a legend.Thanks for posting.

@Mandolin1944 I couldn't have said it better! Chet could truly coax them crystal clear notes from the instrument. And in other tunes, where he uses harmonics, it does indeed sound like bells!
