This is a great car and a really good business plan. 5 stars *****

Electric cars CAN use fossil fuels to generate electricity, but can ALSO get it from 100% renewables like solar, wind, hydro, etc. ALL petrol/diesel cars use fossil fuels and will NEVER use anything else! Unless you run a diesel car on chip fat lol (but governments dont like it cos it avoids the tax they want you to give them when you buy petrol/diesel)!

@scuderiaferrariusa lol how can hydrogen be more enviromentally friendly? You still need to use electricity to produce hydrogen and it takes 4X as much energy compared to if you store it in a battery. It is a enviromental car indeed and the Tesla Model S with a 300-mile range coming in 2012 will make Teslacars truly practical.

A FMMC meter measures conductance only. Become like a child asking questions and give this idea a go: try and develop electric theory based on it. Why? To expand your mind: science is not without error. For example maybe Newton was wrong. g=GM/r-squared or g= quantity of light shining down / surface area of a sphere ? You see? Mass is a quality not a quantity. I urge you to become like a little child and junk everything you think you know -- its the only way to sort out the mess and see.

Not interested.

When all Govts have hiked up the utility bills to a high enough compensatory level... then they will allow the widespread production of electric cars. A step at a time. The evidence is out there folks!

this woman shouldn't have reported on that story

My friend to recharge the batteries the sun is all we need. Also the other most abundant source of green energy that has not nearly been researched enough is electro-magnetisim.Also the bio diesel produced from alge has been proven not only as a source for internal combustion engines but also jet engines. There is hope that the negitive mindset you have that pollutes most people in this countrys minds for the need for an immediate change.

everettwolf: Tru, Phnx deliv. has bin delayed AGIN, but the battery they WANT 2 use- the same one the British Lightning EV intends 2 use... is the Altair Nanosafe & is far better than any other batts in several ways: can handle > 30,000 charge cycles, (equivalent 2 abt 50 yrs/ driving)... & has not exploded or caught fire when baked N ovens @ 400 degs., crushed, overcharged etc. The prob: US Navy buying up all their batts 4 subs & other warships 2 replace emerg. generators, saving > $1 mil./yr.

The Phoenix Motorcar is not available to consumers. The Tesla is. That's the end of that story for now.
Also, in no way is it proven that the batteries of a Phoenix Motorcar will last longer than the batteries used in a Tesla. There is no proven case of this.

tesla srbineeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I think Tesla guarentee battery for 100,000 miles? maybe there will be an exchange plan too?
Sure and it may be 'environmentally friendly' but there seems to be no possibility that Tesla cars will meet the needs of a family living in a city with two kids and a dog, in the way of economic transportation.

actually im sorry to say that this is not environmental friendly. electricity still is made through burining coal to turn turbines so, its still using fossil fuels. the only true environmental friendly vehicle is hydrogen.
