  • i just knew a kiter was gonna do it, is it official?

  • it's not official, but most of the speedfreaks don't care. No way for a jury and speedcameras at this place.

  • Yeah right, it's cool to say I'll do that. The truth is, you'd shit your pants even trying to launch your kite in that wind. Takes a little more than a wannabe kiter.

  • 50,9 knots = 94,27km/h - but still real freakin fast!! :)

  • A good way to share and compete is by uploading tracks on sportstracklive com. There is full performance analysis and charting available.

    ;-)

  • no problem to reach 55 with current gear - just add more wind...

  • Who would have bet there was so much potential in kitesurfing just 10 years ago ?

Now if they put as much into research as what was invested in yellow pages, kitesurfing should reach 55 pretty soon and why not 60 in the not so far futur?

  • Congrats. The multihull sailors will have a hard time to do better. Now we want to see 60+ !!!!

  • An der nordseeküste...

  • this is amazing, and he should be congratulated on pushing the boundries, but records must (and need) to be ratified by an independent body...
