  • Awsome. I can't believe this. I am the operator on the rip cat. Can't believe I found this. I just signed up for youtube and found this today.

The company doing the dirt work is PKS. Better known as Peter Kewit & sons. One of the largest earthmoving companies of the world. I have worked for them off and on for 5 years. I would like to know who shot this footage and say thanks.

  • If you look at the top of this page, you can see the name "tlapse". Just click on it to find out who I am.

  • note how much exhaust they released!

  • Those are diesel engines, so that black exhaust is mostly just elemental carbon. It's ugly, but not a bad pollutant.

  • HEY!!!! They should do a time lapse of me on the 815 Compactor

  • Looks like rock, as it was being ripped, so two pushers is a good idea as it gets them loaded twice as quick. Even in clay, with 657s we always use two pushers.

  • you dont need two dozers shovin them scrapers,,,,what a waste

  • ha ha the guy in the water truck

  • u think them 21's have power you should come run our 57's or 27's ....push pull loaders.....they'll blow your mind

  • man you dont need both dozers pushing. i run a 621e all day long woth a d9 high track pushing and when he is pushing someone else i load myself. with no help. its cheese work woth a 621e. hell of power. and full cab to lol heat and air for me. sorry guys had to say it.

  • Yea, Stay In School!! I've been running machines for 12 years and so far...if you absoltutly want something to do with big machines, go with the railroad. Better $ and more benefits. I will be posting a vid sometime next week on us push-pullin' with 637Es out west, Sheridan, Wyoming.

  • i moved those tractors into that job

  • Your right about that.57"s would have been much more productive. But the material is like hard pan and you aint getting a load without proper support.

  • We were moving 30k yards a day, 8hr shift. Yeah, that was nice to have some tatter dirt for a change. But if it aint ripped, your not going to get a load. PKS usaully gets rock jobs, and I'm sick of rock.
