I made sure to get the recordings information right, to give credit where it's due (personal preferences need not apply with what singer a person likes or thinks this is, just recording info available about this recording). @aumi244 actually, ALW wrote this for Julie Covington in 1976 on the studio recording, before the musical even made it to stage. And even after that, the first woman to play the role of Ava Peron was Elaine Paige in the original london cast. Sarah brightman came along several years later.
