2010 Easter Big Wheel Race San Francisco, CA - BYOBW

Despite the rain everyone came out to the Big Wheel Race. (Notice it getting soggier and soggier later into the afternoon.) By the end I managed to find an alcove to shoot the final run but by then the only thing that was dry was the lens of the camera.




The Big Wheel Race is a great spontaneous gathering in SF similar in energy to the Valentine's Day Pillow Fights and Bay to Breakers but somehow hits a sweet spot in between something institutional and flash mob. It's just fun.
