You know, I like your review a lot. But you speak very fast and rather quietly at times and it makes it somewhat hard to make out what you are saying.
Other than that... Serious Sam rocks on!

ah that would be nice. Serious sam 2 was really good....not so much in story though, but the fun was always there :)

Great review. Serious Sam is my favorite first person shooter of all time. Jam, you might want to check out the Xbox version simply entitled Serious Sam, which contains both the first and second encounter. The Xbox version looks everybit as good as the PC, has fluid controls and supports split-screen and system link co-op and deathmatch. Serious Sam II Xbox isn't nearly as good as the original, but it too is worth taking a look at. Do you plan to review Serious Sam II in the future?

hmm I wonder if in the 9 months past you've played Painkiller? because it's still a great game! not of course compared to Sam here, but has it's satisfaction in more the weapons.

Suicide bomber: Ahhhhhhh
Sam after killing it: Ahhhhhh yourself!

With the Parse Error mod for FE and SE, you get several orders of magnitude more enemies in the game with fresh new battles. You should try it.

awsome game, buy the xbox version of the game to get both games in 1:)

wait a min theres a gold edition of this?
serious sam 2 pretty much expanded on and stayed true to the first game (as i remember it, the biggest addition was some vehicles areas, but you still pretty much shoot weird aliens all through the game), so if you liked serious sam you should check out serious same 2.
Also, Painkiller is very similiar to serious sam in gameplay ( not so much in atmosphere or visuals - its a lot darker and less funny), so you might want to give that a try (very cheap on Steam)...

Yeah, I've been meaning to give Painkiller a try ever since Yahtzee reviewed it. The only thing it has against it is that I'm not sure if it has coop, which is where the real fun lies for me. As I said in the review, I would never have finished Serious Sam without help and infinite respawns.
