I've been working on bringing scriber design up to the 21st century. All other scribers are pretty much the same as the ones that log builders used 600 years ago--basically a pair of dividers. I wanted ergonomics, performance and professional quality. After using my scribers, I decided to make them available to other log builders too. Lots more log construction info at www.LogBuilding.org -- that's dot "ORG" not dot "com".

  • @logpro1 I have the #92 staretts which I like too, but I think these have merit.

  • I need to see it scribing a notch to a 1" finish scribe. I am seeing this as bulky and awkward.

My Staretts are definitely fast and accurate with my double bubble level mounted to them.

I'm a 28 year log crafter, so you will need to provide a live demo to convince me!

  • that's a cool scriber. Where can I get one?
