@LindaJ5129 Dear , not only US president is elected by the people...and as u know not all people only the one who can elect! I wantto criticize the poer of the veto . I think it is not fair and it has no basis other than the US trying to "rule" the world a sit wishes!

@MsTruthcatcher Maybe because the President of US was elected by the people. The will of the people is the basis of the authority of the Gov (HR article 21) It is still possible Obama will use his veto wisely. And if he doesn't, then it is possible UN might, just might, get involved and pressure for law change. Tho sadly that hasn't happened in UK, who still remove habeas corpus from suspected terrorists.
