Ralf was in Williams from 1999 to 2004. In Jordan 97-98.

@ianw2809 I know they had all the aids. But they had such less grip, far better to watch. These days they just fly through each corner. The special tracks in F1 aren't so special anymore. Eau Rouge is nothing now. I hope they impose serious downforce limits on the next generation of cars so that the designers will not have so much of an answer to recover it like they always do. Only then will the racing be closer and more competetive.

@Gummerman you are so wrong. the cars of this era were more powerful but they had all the electronic aids to help them. if you watched today's race even a shower made these cars very twitchy. as for your breaking down point, they have had to make the cars more reliable to cut the cost of running a team. you only get a limited amount of engines per season so you gotta make them last. last point, f1 has been amazing the last few seasons and long may it continue.

This is when F1 was good to watch...the cars were more powerful, they are less grippy, arguable harder to drive, and cars actually broke down, instead of having every single car finishing the race all the time. It's a bit of a shame what F1 has become.

@marcoo4u I have to disagree with the "Schumacher is the best F1 driver ever" part because that title is for Senna imo.

The Australian GP 1999 was the first race I watched Live back when I was 6. This was the first onboard footage I'd ever seen before. Happy memories
Must suck having an older brother, who's also not too bad in an F1 car :D
