  • Hi Ryan, Thank you for you compliments, I really do appreciate them. Re: your enquiry as to what clay I use, I use a fine textured medium light grey clay that is good for detailed work and throws the shadows well. As I am based in New Zealand the clay that I am using is called SC80 is the technical name. If you approach your local Potters Supplies, they should have a comparative clay.

I hope this is of some help to you. Happy sculpturing. Regards, Michael

  • Hi bellarte7, thank you for your comments.

The best way to learn is just to practice the same thing over and over again. I am a self taught sculptor and that is how my skill as a sculptor has evolved. Best of luck. The music I do not know my mother made the movies and I think she may have got the music from the samples that were on the computer when she bought it. Regards, Michael

  • Thank you for your very complementary comment. As a Bronze Founder and Sculptor I usually like to take the figurine sculptures through to a Bronze Finish. Portraits, if I like the piece I take them through to a Bronze or Cultured Marble, others I just leave to dry in the clay. I have never tried the firing process as yet. Regards, Michael

  • Great Video, thank you!!... What type of clay are you using in this video?

  • Michael

I love they way you block in and all the detail you show without all the commentry most Artists do. Please tell me title of Music . I am learning just now and we are given a block of clay to manipulate which is difficult and no measurng. Have you made a Tutorial vVdeo? Regards Philomena
